Categories we accept

Cars & Sedans
1995-present

Cars and sedans are usually sold at auction, providing reliable funds for our local benefits services. Well-maintained vehicles can often fetch a good price, while older models may be recycled for parts.

In Virginia, you'll see many sedans cruising through historic towns and scenic routes. Donating your car can help neighbors access vital services.

Pickup Trucks
1995-present

Pickup trucks often find a second life through auctions or by being refurbished. Their durability and utility mean many can serve new owners or be parted out for parts.

Virginia's rural areas appreciate pickup trucks for work and play. Your donation could support local families needing reliable transportation.

SUVs & Crossovers
1995-present

SUVs and crossovers typically sell well at auction, appealing to families needing spacious vehicles. Some may also be refurbished for continued use.

With families often exploring Virginia's natural beauty, your SUV could help others enjoy the great outdoors while supporting essential services.

Motorcycles
1995-present

Motorcycles can either be auctioned off or sold for parts. The motorcycle community often values well-maintained bikes, yielding good returns.

Virginia's winding roads attract motorcycle enthusiasts. Donating your bike helps connect riders with resources they might need.

RVs & Campers
1995-present

RVs and campers often get sold to adventure-seekers or auctioned for parts. Their versatility makes them desirable for donations.

From the Blue Ridge Mountains to the beaches, RVs are popular in Virginia for summer adventures. Your donation can support families’ explorations.

Boats
1995-present

Boats can be sold at auction or dismantled for parts and materials. Their resale value can vary based on condition and demand.

With Virginia's beautiful lakes and rivers, donating your boat can help fellow water enthusiasts while funding local assistance programs.

Commercial Vehicles
1995-present

Commercial vehicles are typically auctioned off, providing substantial funds. They may also be repaired or refurbished for continued use by local businesses.

Commercial vehicles are often essential to Virginia's local economy, and your donation could help support the economic backbone of our communities.

Non-running Vehicles
All years

Non-running vehicles are often sold for recycling or parts. Even without functioning engines, they can provide valuable materials.

In Virginia, even older cars can find new life through parts and recycling, supporting neighbors who need affordable repairs.

Condition guide

When considering a vehicle donation, it's important to assess its condition. Running vehicles are ideal, as they can often be sold at auction for considerable amounts. If your vehicle is not operational, that’s okay; we accept non-running vehicles, too! However, they may be sold for parts or recycled. A vehicle with a salvage title may also qualify, but we will need to evaluate it on a case-by-case basis. Always check that the vehicle's condition meets our program requirements before donating.

We understand that not all vehicles are easily accessible, especially if they're immobile. Our team at AutoHeritage Donate is equipped to handle pickups from a variety of settings in Virginia, including apartments, rural properties, and marinas. If your vehicle requires special arrangements for pickup, simply let us know, and we will work with you to ensure a smooth and convenient donation process.
